Colson Center Fact Sheet
"If Christians fail to develop a biblical worldview, the future Christian Church will likely have an even lesser connection to biblical principles than is evident today."
-Colson Center Founder Chuck Colson
A person's worldview serves as a decision-making filter and has a significant influence on his or her choices. Yet amazingly, less than one-fifth of all Christians have a biblical worldview (Barna Group, 2009). To help Christians develop an informed worldview that sees, understands and engages the world from a biblical perspective, leading Christian thinker and writer Chuck Colson founded the Chuck Colson Center for Christian Wordlview, a nonprofit that educates Christians on how to apply their faith to all areas of life.
In addition to shaping an individual's biblical viewpoint, the Colson Center collaborates with other Christian ministries to launch ecumenical grassroots movements around moral and ethical issues of great concern. Both are accomplished through a variety of Colson Center initiatives including:
BreakPoint radio commentaries, which offer listeners a brief biblical perspective on today's news and trends. They are carried by some 1,400 radio outlets with a combined audience of 8 million listeners nationwide.
BreakPoint This Week, a 30-minute interview-format radio show co-hosted by Chuck Colson and John Stonestreet, takes a look at the lives and projects of some of today’s most intriguing, inspiring and interesting people. Guests have included Jack Abramoff, Jimmy Carter, Ravi Zacharias, Eric Metaxas, Josh McDowell, Jim Daly and others.
The Chuck Colson Center Library is a research and training center for promoting Christian worldview teaching to people worldwide. Using the writings, speeches and other materials of Chuck Colson as its foundation, The Colson Center is a comprehensive, ever-evolving collection of worldview information and training resources from every age and sector of the Christian heritage.
Centurions Program, The Colson Center's intensive one-year training program that equips Christian leaders to engage their churches, communities and the culture with biblical truth. Program participants are chosen during a selective application process and are trained by some of today's leading Christian thinkers and apologists who focus on developing critical thinking, teaching and mentoring skills.
Two-Minute Warning, a brief video feature that engages a younger generation through a visual medium with a biblical perspective on fundamental moral and ethical issues in our culture.
Doing the Right Thing, a six-part DVD series and nationwide tour hosted by journalist Brit Hume and featuring leading thinkers from the fields of business, law, academia, ministry and culture. Doing the Right Thing explores the fundamental principles of ethics and takes on our society's most pressing moral dilemmas in an effort to ignite an ethics revolution in America today.
